ZTE’s new phone launching – Nubia Z11

ZTE’s bezel-less Nubia Z11 has an 81 percent screen-to-body ratio!

ZTE has a new phone launching at IFA this week, and it looks gorgeous. The Nubia Z11 boasts a “bezel-less” design with an 81 percent screen-to-body ratio, giving it a seamless edge-to-edge display. The 5.5-inch smartphone has a Full HD display and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with either 4GB (standard models) or 6GB RAM (black-gold model).

On the back of the phone, there’s a fingerprint scanner and a 16-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization, phase detection autofocus, and an f/2.0 aperture that ZTE says, in combination with its camera software, is capable of DSLR-quality shots. The front-facing camera is 8-megapixels with an f/2.4 aperture and wide-angle lens. Inside, there’s a 3,000mAh battery with fast-charging capabilities.

At €499 (~S$758) for the standard version, or €599 (~S$910), the Z11 is a little on the pricey side, especially with the likes of the S$699 OnePlus 3 available, but maybe that bezel-less design will be worth paying a premium for? We’ll hold our judgement for now.

Apparently, there will also be a limited edition version with Cristiano Ronaldo’s signature on the back. No word yet on pricing or availability for that model.
