Galaxy S8 is selling almost two times faster than the Galaxy S7

More than a month after its official launch, the Galaxy S8 and S8+ continue to sell very well.

A Samsung official reportedly revealed to The Investor that it has sold over 1 million units of the Galaxy S8 in South Korea in 37 days. Samsung also hinted that the Galaxy S8 could hit the 100 million mark faster than the Galaxy S6 and S7. 

“The phone’s predecessors S6 and S7 hit the 100 million mark in 75 and 74 days since their launch, respectively. The S8 is selling almost two times faster than that,” said a Samsung official. 

Earlier on 18 May, Samsung claimed that global sales of the Galaxy S8 hit over five million units in less than a month. At the start of the month, the Galaxy S8’s Bixby Voice was rolled out in South Korea with more countries expecting to get it in the coming weeks.
