Survey reveals iPhone 7 to be more popular than the iPhone 6s

Despite having a similar design as the iPhone 6s, the iPhone 7 is expected to be more popular than the latter.

The UBS Evidence Lab based on survey results from about 6,500 consumers in five countries and concludes that demand of the iPhone 7 is on track to surpass that of the iPhone 6s. Demand is especially strong in the U.S where nearly half of the respondents expressing their intention to buy the iPhone 7. In addition, demand for the iPhone 7 is said to be stronger than the iPhone 6. The 5.5-inch model is also gaining popularity among consumers thanks to the dual-camera module.

KGI securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicted that the iPhone 7 might not perform as well as the iPhone 6s by the end of the year. The “supply shortages” is mainly due to “artificial scarcity” and a bigger number of launch countries at launch.
