Hands-on Nonda iHere 3.0 Smart Key Finder and Selfie Remote review

The age we live is smart, many things are connected.  Such as our mobile devices, and even trackers on your pets. However, there is one item that we carry with us, and you will be amazed at how many times they are either misplaced or lost around the home – yes we are talking about your house or car keys. There are items already available that allow you to keep track of your keys, but the Nonda iHere 3.0 Smart Key Finder not only does this, but also has other functions as well, which include a Selfie Remote, Find your Phone and also Car.

This device has been out for a while now, but was still happy to be sent one for review by our friends at Mobile Fun. It’s worth pointing out that we will offer our honest opinion, and if we do not like it, we will tell you so – although our first impressions as far as the packaging in its design already ticks the right boxes.

It is easy to do with the unboxing the iHere 3.0 Key Finder, and did not require ripping the packaging apart, which you have to do with so many products these days. We did like how most of it was made from cardboard, apart from the vacuum formed PVC used in order to keep the device in position. It’s all white, and so you would think you are about to unbox an Apple product – you also get this same thought when you take your first look at the Key Finer and look at the button that reminds you of the old style home button from the earlier iPhone devices.

The overall design of this device is simple, and very pleasing on the eye with a mix of white and silver, although that silver is still part of the plastic design, so do not be fooled into thinking this is of a premium design. Size wise, it’s about the size of a piece of Toblerone, and also the same shape.

In order to set the device up you will first need to download the iHere 3 app from either App Store or Google Play. We did just this and quickly opened the app and made certain that Bluetooth was selected on our iPhone 7. We did forget to download the app at first, and so assumed the battery was flat, but that was not the case, so please make certain you install that app first – although fully charging the iHere 3.0 Smart Key Finder is still a good idea.

Please remember that once the app is installed you will need to allow it access to your location, microphone and camera. We found it very easy to activate iHere, as all we needed to do was hold the button down for several seconds, which is when you will see the red light start to flash. The device managed to locate our phone quickly, and so we were then able to use this device for its intended purpose.

The Key Finder is its main feature, and so you just have to place it on your keyring with them, but it’s so much more than that. One of the more popular features was the car finder option because people tend to struggle to find their car when parked in a shopping centre, or when you visit a place you do not know and leave your car somewhere. All you need to do is go to the app and tag yourself while in your car, and then go off and when you need to locate it again, you will be given its location in seconds.

The only issue we have is that the Nonda iHere 3.0 Smart Key Finder will only be able to locate your keys within a 75-foot radius, and so will only work if they are in the vicinity. To make up for that shortcoming, you might like the ability to activate the camera of your mobile device, which makes it easier to take that perfect selfie.

Key Features are:

  • Locate your belongings quickly and easily, from up to 75 feet away!
  • Easy to use app.
  • Lightweight, portable and extremely durable.
  • Rechargeable battery that lasts weeks.
  • Remote to take photographs, epic selfies and video.
  • Remote to trigger audio dictation recording.
